S. Garth Liechty, PA-C is the current physician associate at Magic Valley Urology. He hails from Scottsdale Arizona and moved in 2019 to the Twin Falls area to return his wife to her hometown and be surrounded by family.
Garth graduated with a bachelors degree and behavioral health and science from the University of Utah. Afterwards worked in surgery in the anesthesia department and in medical research. He attended the Utah physician assistant program at the University of Utah. After graduation he returned to Arizona to work with cancer patients in radiation oncology for 10 years. He transitioned to urology in 2011.
From his treatment of prostate cancer patients and seeing the effects of androgen deprivation therapy he developed an interest in men’s health. It is truly in Urology that men’s health is addressed including: hypogonadism/low T, prostate cancer, BPH, erectile dysfunction and kidney stones. While in Arizona he served on the Arizona regulatory board of Physician Assistant for seven years helping to strengthen The Physician Assistants role in health care.
Garth is married and a busy father of five children and three grandchildren, and it’s true, grandchildren are better. He enjoys outdoor activities including trail riding in one of his razors, shooting and archery. He also is a bit of a disgruntled carpenter and enjoys working around the house with his wife.
